Seven Springs Farms started background cattle in 2015. SSF is backgrounding approximately 11,000 heifers each year. Transitioning cattle from their home farm to placement in commercial feedlots is an important part of the beef cycle. Special care is taken to make sure our calves rumens are ready for feedlot rations. We also work to improve immune systems of each calf thru vaccinations and precise field management. We pride ourselves in having some of the best health records and treatment rates in the local area. Our cattle come in at 450 pounds and leave 90 days later at 750 pounds.
